The letter states that the fund currently has just over $400 in available cash and $2000 in notes of nineteen students who have received loans from the fund. Annual membership dues were $1 or $20 for a life membership.

Edward Maumenee on the history of the University of Alabama Medical School with edits and corrections on retyped pages, his 1925 certificate from the American Board of Ophthalmic Examinations, and a letter from his son J. R. "Rob" Maumenee to A. E. "Ed" Maumenee, presumably A. Edward's sons as Rob refers to the handwriting on the papers about the UA Medical School as "Dad's".
