Scope and Contents From the Collection: This collection contains materials from three generations of the Reade family. There is a scrapbook and daily planner from 1917 for Reverend Charles G. Reade. For Captain Lewis B. Read there is a collection of mostly work related letters from 1951 to 1974. For Cornelia Reade there is a collection of personal letters from 1973 to 1982 and a scrapbook containing clippings, pictures, and pamphlets relating to riverboats, especially the Delta Queen.
