Charles H. Collins Essay Book Excerpts, August 1858
Contains selections from various manuscripts and diaries penned in Clermont County from 1850-1858 by Charles H. Collins, which he compiled in a book in August of 1858. These excerpts include a eulogy on an elder brother and three short poems. The pages are photocopies of the original manuscript.
William Reynolds Journal, 1855 - 1858
Contains a journal written by William Reynolds from 1855 to 1858. He began the journal while at Northwestern Christian University. Reynolds recorded original essays, family updates, and famous quotes, poems, and songs. A significant portion of the journal details a boat trip he took with his friend Ben to New Orleans from March 15 to April 29, 1858.
Winstel Family Birth Records, 1858 - 1874
This collection consists of a small, leather-bound book of the sort in which one would keep a diary. This, however, contains nothing more than entries recording the births of several children, all bearing the surname Winstel between 1858 and 1895. All the entries are in German. At the opposite end of the book is what appears to be a hand-drawn title page, illustrated with a guitar and flute, a book of music, and a vase of flowers. The script here is also in German.
Lucy P. Moore Diary Copy, 1859 - 1860
This collection consists of a typescript copy of a diary kept by Moore, covering the period November 2, 1859, to March 1, 1860, although there are gaps in the entries, most notably the period from December 6, 1859, to January 1, 1860. The diary entries are concerned chiefly with personal and family matters and with weather conditions. An unknown hand has annotated portions of the text, in particular identifying individuals mentioned in the course of Moore's entries.

The collection consists of one autograph book owned by Caroline Miller of Palmyra, Indiana. The book is signed by various friends and family members from Palmyra and other cities in Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky. Most signatures are accompanied by short rhyming poems.
Zeverah Sellers Memory Book, 1888 - 1891
This collection consists of a bound memory book which probably was intended by its manufacturer to serve the function of school yearbooks of later years. The cover is inscribed "Album" but Sellers used it to collect short inscriptions from acquaintances, including her mother, teachers, family members, and schoolmates. Many of the book's pages are blank.
V. L. P. Diary, 1893 - 1897
Contains a young man's thoughtful diary entries written over the winter and spring of 1893, primarily concerning school, his personal creeds, his ambitions for his future education or employment, with some news of daily events, friends and family members. A good portion of the ledger used to write the diary is taken up with various scholarly notes from literature and philosophy, with a smattering of Latin and many aphorisms.
