Lucy P. Moore Diary Copy, 1859 - 1860

 Item — Box: 4259.02, Folder: 004

Scope and Contents

This collection consists of a typescript copy of a diary kept by Moore, covering the period November 2, 1859, to March 1, 1860, although there are gaps in the entries, most notably the period from December 6, 1859, to January 1, 1860. The diary entries are concerned chiefly with personal and family matters and with weather conditions. An unknown hand has annotated portions of the text, in particular identifying individuals mentioned in the course of Moore's entries.
