Scope and Contents From the Collection: This collection is made up of a single ledger used for accounts kept by George Walter Jones (a.k.a. "GW") as well as poetry and speeches presumably written by him in the later part of the nineteenth-century. The front of the ledger is labeled "Cash Account with Confederate States, Maj. G.W.
