The collection contains twenty Carte de Visite studio portraits, and the following publications: a 1909 copy of the "Nashville, Chattanooga and St. Louis Railway, Chattanooga Division Alignment and Profile," by the Office of Chief Engineer, and published in Nashville, Tennessee; a copy of "Astronomy Notebook with Directions for Observing" By O.M. Leland [2nd edition, Ithica, published by the author in 1907 for the use of students in the college of Civil Engineering, Cornell University] (which belonged to W.E. Spraggins and has sections filled out); an announcement for the "University of Alabama, Alabama Corps of Cadets Commencement Hop" on July 5th 1876; "Weather Proverbs, 1883," compiled by Henry Harrison Chase Dunwoody, and published by the Government Printing Office; Signal Service notes, no.9; diary entries and list of places worked for Nashville, Chattanooga and St. Louis Railway from 1909-1910; as well as journals of work relatied entries, sketches of railraod tracks and places worked, caluclation by Spraggins and a pamphlet of Nashville, Chattanooga and St. Louis Railway conventional signs.
