The collection contains the student computer programming manual for the Bama-Bell II programming language for the Univac Solid State 80 computer system, written by William J. Gray, a University of Alabama graduate and then faculty member.

The collection contains a copy of the souvenir booklet for the Sesquicentennial celebrations during April 1969 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The booklet (56 pages) is heavily illustrated with photographs of Tuscaloosa buildings, streets and citizens through the years.

The collection contains the 1959 annual report of the First Mortgage Company, Inc., of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

The collection contains the records and correspondence of the Society of Colonial Wars in the State of Alabama for 1966-1969. Most of the letters are carbon copies from James Martin Smith of Birmingham, Alabama, who was at the time the corresponding secretary for the state organization.

The collection contains photocopies of the genealogy and family history of Henry Roland Godson, a C.S.S. Alabama sailor.

The collection contains a variety of materials and correspondence of the Black Warrior Review. Included are several negatives of pictures used in the periodical and posters advertising the sale of the publication and the acceptance deadlines for literary submissions.

The collection contains an incomplete typescript copy of Henrietta McCormick Hill's unpublished memoirs titled Senate Lady. This typescript was later published under the title, A Senator's Wife Remembers: From the Great Depression to the Great Society
