Scope and Contents This album consists of ninety-seven photographs depicting Howard S. Hodson’s service during the World War II in Japan. Howard entered Navy on April 10, 1945, finishing training on June 23, 1945, and arrived in Carolina Island on August 24, 1945 where he was assigned to Group 10 and sailed off to Japan. Scope and Contents

This album consists of sixty-four images depicting soldiers at the training camps in Gulfport, Mississippi; New Orleans, Louisiana; Dyersburg, Tennessee; and Kingman and Yucca, Arizona. Most of the soldiers are identified by their first names. One image depicts a view of clouds taken from an airplane flying over Budapest, Hungry. Album also contains a message written by Billy after he arrived home.
