Scope and Contents This collection contains copies of the birth certificate of First Lieutenant James "Jimmie" B. Sturgis, Jr., a native of Louisville, Kentucky, photographs of presumably Jimmie and another member of the military, and two letters from Jimmie to his parents sent while staying with family in Bluffton, Indiana and while stationed in the Philippine Islands.
