Scope and Contents This collection consists of one diary kept by Vernon Keith Davisson of West Manchester, Preble County, Ohio, while he was on the U.S.S. George A. Johnson during World War II. In the main, the diary relates the various ports of call of the U.S.S. George A. Johnson, DE-583, made in the Mediterranean Sea and the Pacific Ocean.
