Scope and Contents This collection consists of eleven letters from Albert N. Verno, United States Army, to his friend, Robert (Bob) Haas, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, at Camp Croft and Lake Charles, Louisiana, from 11 December 1942 to 11 December 1944, during World War II. Albert Verno does not state where he is because of the censorship regulations. He mentions that he has been around the islands, writes South Pacific on his last two letters, and was in Australia and Fiji. It sounds as though they met in training....
