Scope and Contents From the Collection: This scrapbook includes newspaper clippings, illustrations of early fire engines, and handwritten notes related to the history of the volunteer firefighter companies in Mobile in the early part of the nineteenth century. Although many of the articles in the notebook are dated 1867, some articles from 1830 to 1924 are included.
