Scope and Contents From the Collection: This 270-page manuscript includes handwritten definitions and summaries of legal cases tried between 1869 and 1877. Although the cases described were primarily tried in Alabama district courts, the manuscript also includes descriptions of cases tried in South Carolina. The case descriptions primarily relate to railroad interests and personal property law.
