The collection contains personal items of three generations of women in the Snow and Hogan families: Abby Hazard Snow; daughter, Caroline Snow Hogan; granddaughters, Abby and Mazie Hogan; and Caroline's sister-in-law, Mary S. Hogan. The poetry scrapbook of Caroline Snow includes a loose copy of an essay on South Carolina secessionism written in the 1850s.
