This collection consists of five legal documents; two summonses, a grand jury verdict, an arrest warrant, and a property seizure notice. The first three all pertain to John S. Lackey; the grand jury verdict, dated September 1829, finds Lackey in violation of a statute requiring him to maintain a portion of a public road, one of the summonses, dated January 1830, requires Lackey to appear before the next meeting of the Circuit Court in Moulton, to hear the judgment against him for failing to...
