The collection contains tuition receipts, a printed announcement, and a newspaper clipping from several schools, primarily in Alabama, including: the Alabama Female Institute; Tuskaloosa Methodist Female School; Tuscaloosa Female College; Alabama Central Female College; Tuscaloosa Christ Church School (all in Tuscaloosa, Alabama); the University of the South (Sewanee, Tennessee); St. Cecilia Academy (Nashville, Tennessee); Reidville Female College and Reidville Male High School (Reidville, South Carolina); Richmond, Virginia (Williamsburg Female Academy); and Wesleyan Female College (Macon, Georgia).
