Biographical/Historical note

Henry W. Reese, Jr. (1846-1863) was born to Henry W. (1813-1898) and Julia Malvina Wynn Reese (1827-1860) and lived in Dempolis, Alabama. He attended The University of Alabama, and he served in the 31st Alabama Infantry during the Civil War, dying of wounds suffered at Baker's Creek (also known as the Battle of Champion Hill), Mississippi, in 1863.
