Scope and Contents

From the Collection: The collection consists of one book containing handwritten notes relating to his jobs as a civil engineer for various Southern railroads. Notes include billing and account information, property dimensions, and sketches of tools. Also included is a list of his jobs, beginning in August 1888 in Albany, Georgia, where he worked at a grocery store for $20 a month, to his last job as Chief Engineer of the Georgia & Florida Railway in Augusta, Georgia, making $175 in 1913.
