Letters
Scope and Contents note
Five letters, two to Bonney and Bush of Wilmington, Delaware, the other three to Bush and Lobdell, also of Wilmington. The first two are from Thomas E. Tartt, written 14 April 1836 in Philadephia, ordering machinery for cotton gins in Alabama, and Seaman and Shackelford, written 9 January 1838 at Mobile, also ordering cotton gin machinery. The final three, dated 13 and 25 February 1841and 2 April 1843 were all written by Peter McIntyre of Mobile, Alabama. They also pertain to cotton ginning machinery and payment.
