A letter from Milo Todd of Northford, Connecticut, to his friend, John Douglass Fowler of Bristol, Wisconsin, telling him about the wet weather and crop expectations. He also mentions a comet that was predicted to hit the earth and end-of-the-world prophecies, as well as his temporary "Western Fever" and interest in leaving Connecticut.
