Scope and Contents
This file contains photographs, postcards, and other memorabilia. Most of the photographs and several of the postcards depict men in uniform; in one, three men stand in front of a sign that says "1st Tex. Engineers." Two postcards, both sent in 1909, refer to trips made to Japan and Russia. There is also a sheet of paper with special orders from the headquarters of Camp Joseph E. Johnson, Jacksonville, Florida, April 25, 1918, relieving Second Lieutenant Joseph D. Alston from his present duty and naming him commanding officer of the First Provisional Company, C. A. C. (Coast Artillery Corps).
