Scope and Contents

One photographic album containing twelve cartes de visite depicting portraits of bishops: John Wesley, Soule, Andrews, Tapero, Rascom, Early, Kavanaugh, Pierce, and Payne. The album also includes portraits of General Ulysses S. Grant, General Maury and his family, and an unidentified general. An inscription on the first page reads: "Presented to [] J. Thomas by her Grand [] B. W. [] March 23rd, 1873, Roaring Springs, Ky."
