This file contains one letter written by by Walter M. Voll to Mary Lee Langolf, a neighbor back home in Louisville, Kentucky. Voll was serving on the USS Oklahoma, based in San Pedro, California, at the time. He describes the delays he encountered getting back to the ship at the end of his furlough. He also relates some past experiences they shared.

Walter M. Voll was born on June 9, 1907, to Edward and Catherine Voll of Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. He died on November 17, 1974, and is buried in Saint Michael Cemetery in Louisville. (Source: Ancestry.com)
