Glass and Nitrate Negatives, 1938 - 1941
Scope and Contents
This collection consists of glass plate negatives, nitrate negatives, and several gelatin developing-out paper photographs depicting The University of Alabama campus, football team, baseball team, sororities, fraternities, and students, as well as negatives of Stillman College and Tuscaloosa. The collection includes one enlarged photo printed on canvas depicting early coaches: Tilden "Happy" Campbell, Henry Gorham Crisp, Frank W. Thomas, Harold "Red" Drew, Paul Burnam, and Paul "Bear" Bryant. The collection includes the glass negative of this significant Alabama football photograph.

Abstract
This box consists of seventy-five negatives depicting scenes from the University of Alabama. Depicted here are students; Pi Zeta Alpha sorority; 1938 Trustee meeting; 1940 Trustee meeting; 1944 senior class; class of 1915 reunion in 1940; class of 1900, 1901, and 1902 reunion; class of 1905 reunion in 1940; class of 1906 reunion in 1940; class of 1914 reunion; nursing school students in 1944; A Club in 1938 and 1940; Student Government Association (SGA) in 1941; Girls Club in 1940; The Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) on Gorgas steps; Rifle Team in 1940 and 1942; ASTP UA band on the Gorgas steps; Cadet Officers on the Gorgas steps in 1940; Graduate School faculty in 1940; and Law School faculty in 1938. The images also depicts Stillman College students in 1940, Lewis Wiesel stone window in 1939, and 1941 Cavaliers.
