Scope and Contents

From the Collection: This collection consists of glass plate negatives, nitrate negatives, and several gelatin developing-out paper photographs depicting The University of Alabama campus, football team, baseball team, sororities, fraternities, and students, as well as negatives of Stillman College and Tuscaloosa. The collection includes one enlarged photo printed on canvas depicting early coaches: Tilden "Happy" Campbell, Henry Gorham Crisp, Frank W. Thomas, Harold "Red" Drew, Paul Burnam, and Paul "Bear" Bryant. The collection includes the glass negative of this significant Alabama football photograph.

Overview

This box consists of sixty-six negatives depicting fraternity houses at the University of Alabama. Some of the houses depicted are Sigma Delta Tau, Alpha Sigma Phi, Phi Mu, and Delta Kappa Alpha. Also depicted in this box are portraits of unidentified and identified people; University of Alabama graduates of 1940, 1941, and 1943; students engaged in everyday activities on the campus; and Dr. George Denny with a group of men.
