Glass and Nitrate Negatives, 1929 - 1940
Scope and Contents
This collection consists of glass plate negatives, nitrate negatives, and several gelatin developing-out paper photographs depicting The University of Alabama campus, football team, baseball team, sororities, fraternities, and students, as well as negatives of Stillman College and Tuscaloosa. The collection includes one enlarged photo printed on canvas depicting early coaches: Tilden "Happy" Campbell, Henry Gorham Crisp, Frank W. Thomas, Harold "Red" Drew, Paul Burnam, and Paul "Bear" Bryant. The collection includes the glass negative of this significant Alabama football photograph.

Abstract
This box consists of eighty-two negatives depicting buildings on and near the campus of the University of Alabama. Some of the buildings depicted here are Comer Hall, Denny Chimes, Garland Hall, College of Engineering, Gorgas Library, Bibb Graves Hall, School of Nursing, Little Hall, Tutwiler Hall, School of Commerce, Smith Hall, Lloyd Hall, Morgan Hall, Farrah Hall, Doster Hall, Gorgas House, and near Druid City Hospital. Also depicted in this box are sorority and fraternity houses at the University of Alabama, as well as some of their members.
