Custodial History
The Bullard Pickle Spoon belonged to General Robert Lee Bullard, who inherited it from from the estate of his father, Daniel Bullard. (Daniel Bullard owned the Greek Revival Mansion "Oak Grove," in Oak Bowery, Chambers County, Alabama. "Oak Grove" burned down circa 1930.) Ralph Hammond acquired the spoon from a family member - who had landholdings adjacent to the Bullard property - while he was doing research for his book Antebellum Mansions of Alabama.
