Scope and Contents
The collection consists of twenty-three industrial photographs depicting foundries in Alabama. The foundries depicted in this collection are in Birmingham (Sloss, Thomas, Alice, Marry Pratt, Trusville and Woodward), Ensley, Sheffield (Lady Ensley), Anniston (Pipe and Woodstock), Bessemer (DeBardeleben), and Woodward, Alabama in 1889. Photographer from Birmingham, Alabama, John Horgan, Jr. took the photos for Truman H. Aldrich and presented them to him in June 1889.
