Abstract A substantial collection of papers and materials relating to James Bowron, one of the nineteenth century iron and mining pioneers in the Deep South. It includes Bowron's 1632-page, unpublished autobiography, as well as his daily journals, letters, and pictures.
Overview This collection consists of photographs, drawings and graphic materials depicting John Mason Dill and his coworkers at the end of his working career as one of the draftsman at the engineering office at the Tennessee Coal, Iron, and Railroad Company in Birmingham and Fairfield, Alabama.
