This collection comprises documents related to Captain Jesse Smith, his son, and his grandson, both named Jesse Smith. Captain Jesse Smith had a long Revolutionary War service record. At the end of the war, he was a member of Washington's headquarters guard and escort. This collection contains his official Revolutionary War record and his obituary. Also, this collection comprises service records from his son and grandson's naval careers and original family letters.

This collection consists of United States Presidential pamphlets and signatures. Feature presidents are George Washington, James Buchanan, Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Robert Francis Kennedy, and George W. Bush. Part of this collection is a letter from Elenore Roosevelt to Mr. Rives.
