This collection contains four files that contain materials from the Ku Klux Klan and Nazi Germany. The Ku Klux Klan materials include a songbook and a small collection of materials from the women's branch of the organization. The Nazi Germany files contain stamps featuring an image of Adolf Hitler, and a small collection of materials from a member of the military in Nazi Germany. Scope and Contents
Contains a folder of typewritten lyrics to thirteen Klan songs. The songs are based on popular, patriotic, and religious songs. Titles include "The Cross in the Wildwood," sung to the tune of "The Church in the Wildwood," and "Keep the Crosses Burning," sung to the tune of "Keep the Home Fires Burning." Inside the notebook is a label identifying the item as being "loaned for the confidential use of Samuel Vanover" of Danville, Kentucky.
