Scope and Contents The collection consists of a letter from Joyce Hayward from Australia to Mrs. Fitzsimons of La Grange, Illinois, about her work in a factory. She tells that her work includes the production of gun barrells for the war effort while her husband, H. E. Hayward, is away fighting in the Pacific. As with many letters of this time, it was opened by a censor before delivery.
