The bulk of Clyde's personal correspondence consists of letters from his future wife Mary F. Shanor. Also indcluded in his incoming correspondence are letters from Mary Ashworth, a college friend, and Maude, a woman with whom Clyde apparently had an affair. Business correspondence consists of legal notices about debts owed.
