Scope and Contents
The collection contains four account ledgers (1909 – 1914) and an invoice ledger (1909 – 1911) of Alex Gunn who owned a store in Thomasville, Alabama. These ledgers show the day-to-day finances of the store, including who bought what items and the price paid. The invoice ledger contains receipts that the store obtained through these three years of the business. These were glued into a ledger that now has very brittle paper.
