Biographical / Historical

Virginia Oden Foscue was born on 23 June 1933. She graduated with a B.A. degree in 1955 and then in 1959 with a Master’s degree, both from the University of Alabama. She was on the faculty of the Department of English at the University from 1963 until 1993. Foscue died on 27 June 2002 in Tuscaloosa, Tuscaloosa County, Alabama.
