Biographical / Historical

Richard V. Evans, son of George A. and Emily Phillips Evans, was born 16 August 1871 in Alabama. He married Rebecca Durr "Rebie" Berney on 6 September 1905; the couple had two sons, William Berney and Richard V., Jr. He practiced law in Birmingham until 1919 when he was appointed to serve as judge of the 10th Judicial CIrcuit. He died on 15 April 1966.
