Biographical / Historical

A Tallapoosa County, Alabama, lawyer, Jere Clemens Dennis was born on 27 January 1861 in Tallapoosa, to Sumeral (Jr.) and Sarah Adeline Day Dennis. He married Addie Cornelia Hydinger. Addie died sometime between 1920 and 1930 (she is listed in the 1920 U. S. Census, but he is listed as a widower in the 1930 Census). Dennis died on 5 April 1954.
