Scope and Contents

This collection consists of 1075 potographs depicting street scenes in Tuscaloosa, Selma, and other cities in Alabama; portraits of famous people: Will Chambers, Augusta Evans Wilson, Margaret Zehmer Searcy, Roger Lee, Booker T. Washington, Samuel M. Stafford, George C. Wallace, Carl Elliot, Sr., Winton M. Blount, Jefferson Davis, and many others. Also collection consists of numerous images of Alabama rivers steam boats, Joe Sewell and Lou Gehrig in 1933 World Series; home of Samuel Peck; Tuscaloosa flood of 1900; and various Alabama and Mississippi maps.
