The collection contains photostat positives of the book title pages and manuscript items that made up the 1942 exhibit at the John Carter Brown Library at Brown University that were used to illustrate the documents that were influential in the development of the democratic princilpe in the United States. There are also descriptive labels for these images that detail the significance of the books.
