Content Description
The collection consists of two composition books containing photographs, postcards, clippings, travel ephemera, and handwritten descriptions of Alma Simpson's travels with her family during the summers of 1923 and 1925. Both have detailed handwritten accounts illustrated with snapshots, postcards, as well as some brochures and paperwork from lodges and car rentals.
The first book has information about the family's trip from their home in Montclair, New Jersey, to Niagara Falls in 1923 and a trip through Pennsylvania to Washington DC in 1924. The second covers their 1925 summer trip from Pennsylvania to Niagara Falls again, and then on to New York and Massachusetts.
