The collection contains two unsigned letters, one addressed to the President of the United States, providing reasons why L. J. Bryan and Attorney Reese should not be given federal appointments. The letter addressed to the president gives details as to why the writer believes that Bryan should not be reappointed as Marshal of the Middle District of Alabama.
