Biographical / Historical
A masquerade ball (or bal masqué) is an event which the participants attend in costume wearing a mask. The Mystic Krewe of the Druids' Bal Masqué benefits West Alabama AIDS Outreach. Each year of the Masqué has its own theme (e.g., the 2004 theme Bal Masqué XI was "The Confection Connection" and the 2005 Bal Masqué XII was "TV Land").
