Scope and Contents

The collection is made up of a small (24" x 36") metal embossed wooden trunk containing: 1860-1900 photo album with tintypes, carte de visite, and cabinet cards; assorted letters (tied) and receipts (in wooden box); 1890 farm journal of W.C. Estes of Coffeeville, AL; Department of Education, 1911; constitution and by-laws of Farmers' Educational and Cooperative Union (1912); farmer accounts books; Agricultural Code of Alabama (1927); General Public School Laws of Alabama (1911); and a variety of artifacts (in box) including a darning egg/gourd, a cutthroat razor, a large Asepto glass syringe, and miscellaneous nuts, bolts, gears, screws, springs, etc. (in small box)
