Scope and Contents

A collection of manuscripts and correspondence relating to the writing and publishing of three books by John Crowley: George Cabot Lodge, George Cabot Lodge: Selected Fiction and Verse, and The Life of George Cabot Lodge, which Crowley edited. Present are copies of primary sources used in the works; correspondence with the George Cabot Lodge's descendants, John Davis Lodge and Henry Cabot Lodge; and correspondence with publishers concerning details of the publication process. Also present are published copies of the aforementioned works as well as a two volume set entitled Poems and Dramas of George Cabot Lodge from 1911. Original order was maintained while processing the collection.
