Scope and Contents
The collection contains two copies of the transcript of an interview given by Mrs. Alvin Mosley of Ensley, Alabama, on Novemeber 30, 1942, on Birmingham radio station WBRC. The government supervised Labor Board election at the TCI (Tennessee, Coal, Iron and Railroad Company) and the United Steelworkers of America union were the subjects of the five minute interview. Mrs. Mosley spoke in favor of the union. There is also a letter to Mrs. Mosley from T.F. Flynn, the International Representative of the United Steelworkers of America, written on December 18, 1942, which was included with one copy of the transcript. The transcript copy was sent as a "memento of the event."
