The collection contains recollections of Bankston School by three individuals connected to the school: Grace Swartz, Joan Simpson Tyner, and Odell Awartz. The Bankston School, located in Fayette County, Alabama, near the community of Belk, opened in 1906 and closed in the mid 1970s. The three brief accounts detail the history of the school's building, and lists a variety of school activities, teachers, and principals.
