The majority of the correspondence is of a personal nature between Mrs. Davis and her husband, children and other family members. Though the bulk of this series is family correspondence it also includes a letters from Mary Custis Lee, Judah P. Benjamin, Lord Henry Percy, and a short note from Oscar Wilde.
