Series Description

From the Series: Consists of materials related to the management of various estates that Cabaniss was involved in the settlement of, or that he served as executor for during the course of his legal career. These materials include wills, receipts, account information, promissory notes, and correspondence (not to or from Cabaniss or any of his partners) concerning the estate, bankruptcy notices, and other documents. Estate materials are filed alphabetically, under the name of the estate. Any estate file with a least five documents was granted its own folder, sometimes more depending on the size of the estate. Smaller estates are in general alphabetical folders, such as "A" estates. Legal actions involving estates were filed alphabetically in the Legal Files series and are not found in Estate Files.
