Scope and Contents

This collection of 50 black and white photographs depicts everyday life in Buenos Aires, Palermo, and Hurlingham, Argentina during the 1890s. Photographs measure approximately 6¾” x 8¾” and are captioned on versos, though some captions are partly trimmed. Photographs show public celebrations and parades, portraits of Argentinians, and landmarks such as the Banco de la Nación and Central Station of Ferrocarril del Sud.
