Sexual and Scatological Verse, undated
Scope and Contents
This file contains five unsigned poems written on sheets of notebook paper, at least some of them in the same hand. The verses are on sexual and scatological themes and use terminology ranging from euphemisms to profanity. One poem purports to tell the origins of why dogs sniff each other's behinds; on the back of this poem is a note in pencil that says: "Please pas [sic] back." Other verses are about a conversation between a man and woman overheard and misunderstood by someone outside their house; a fly that titillates a female worker at a grocery; a "not yet eighteen" year-old telling her mother about a sexual encounter; and a sexual encounter between a preacher and his Sunday school student ("Trip to Heaven").
